It
was clinging of glasses as the vessel, Victory 1 made a
historic maiden berth at Masters Energy Jetty in Rumuolumeni,
Port Harcourt, on 19th October 2009. The name of the vessel,
Victory 1 aptly captured the success story of Masters Energy
after a long wait for a maiden berthing of the vessel.
The vessel carrying 5,000
metric tones of Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO) made her berth
at the jetty in style and splendour to the admiration of
workers and visitors. Speaking at the jetty after the successful
berth, an elated President of Masters Energy Group, Mr.
Uchechukwu Ogah thanked God for making the berthing of the
first vessel in the jetty a success. He said, “The
berthing of this vessel today opens another vista in the
life of Maters Energy Oil & Gas Ltd. We have waited
long for this day to come. We have made supplications to
God for this day. We have had immense challenges to see
this day come. Thanks be to God for making this day a reality.”
Mr. Ogah when asked to
describe he challenges the company faced in bringing the
vessel said that it is near impossible to chronicle the
numerous challenges but the important thing is that the
vessel has finally berthed. “Just there are always
challenges in getting new thing started off, so there were
challenges in bringing this vessel to berth. But because
we are a company that is always forward looking, we do not
look at challenges in our operations but always try to find
a positive way to circumvent to achieve organisational goal.
It is that same spirit that has taken us this far as an
organisation,” he said.

his crew and all those who contributed to the successful
berthing of vessel. HE also thanked the entire members of
staff of Masters Energy Group for their understanding and
keeping faith with the company in the face of challenges.
According to him, “the perseverance and encouragement
of our staff was awesome. Their faith in the company did
not waiver even in the face of challenges. It is very encouraging
and shows the type of bonding that exists among us as an
organisation.” He assured that with the arrival of
the vessel, gateways of other successes will follow.
It will be recalled that Masters Energy Oil & Gas
Ltd commissioned its ultra-modern Integrated & Logistics
Centre in Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt on 25th July 2009.
The Integrated & Logistics Centre accommodates the
company’s 158,000 metric tones storage facility,
