Masters Energy Ltd. downstream covers product procurement, bulk sales, and distribution of petroleum products, which include retail outlets, gas services and oil services.
Masters Energy Ltd. has storage terminals across Africa, the Middle East and
Europe with a combined capacity in excess of 300million liters for a range of
refined petroleum products.
Our Downstream Operations are as follows:
Oil Trading & Supplies Services
The Company started its oil trading activities at its inception and is fully involved in trading petroleum derivatives such as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO), dual-purpose kerosene (DPK), and Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO). We are currently involved in bulk petroleum sales through vessel trans shipments, coastal bunkering, etc.
We source our products principally from overseas and through NNPC/PPMC coastal allocations. Since the inception of operations, we have remained relevant in petroleum products trading through constant importation of petroleum products at competitive prices, thereby impacting positively the economy of the nation.
Crude Term Contract & Direct Sale and Direct Purchase (DSDP)
Currently, we have an existing crude oil sales and purchase term contract with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
We are also one of the few companies in Nigeria selected for the Direct Sales & Direct Purchase (DSDP) with NNPC
Retail Outlets
Our filling stations serve as our main retail outlets. Over the years, there has been a quantum leap in the number of filling stations scattered all over the country. The retail outlets are very important to us as they enable us to bring petroleum products closer to the people at affordable prices. They also help us build a strong corporate presence across the nation.
We have a long-term strategic plan of having retail outlets in all state capitals and major towns in Nigeria.
Gas Services
We have a running 65MT LPG plant in Lagos, a 50MT LPG plant in Enugu, and we are still constructing more. We also have 4 skid plants in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
We have approval to Construct a gas storage terminal in Port Harcourt.
We also have a bulk purchase agreement with NNPC and Masters FOB Sales agreement with NLNG.
Lubricant
We have a combined plant production capacity of 36,000MT (10,000MT at Mowe, Ogun State & 26,000 MT ultra-modern Lube Oil Blending Plant located at Masters Energy Industrial City located at Uturu, Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State). We are also certified by SON to produce the following specifications: Masters Super Plus (SAE20W50), Master SUN1 Engine oil (SAE5W40), Masters Force 1(SAE15W40), Masters Motor Oil (SAE40), Masters Diesel Oil (SAE40).
Aviation (Jet-a1 fuel)
We are part of a consortium of several oil & gas companies (JUHI 2 Ventures Ltd.) that constructed a 40,000 MT Jet A1 fuel Tank Farm at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria.
Transport Services
With over 100 (33,000 litres) trucks in its fleet, our Transport Division effectively and efficiently bridges petroleum products of all parts of Nigeria; and 10 (10,000 litres) metered digitized trucks which pedal petroleum products to smaller local consumers like Fast food outlets, private homes, churches, telecommunication companies’ base stations e.t.c. in Lagos, South East and its environs. Our Transport Division also supplies products to our filling stations across Nigeria and is leased to other organizations. We have an ultra-modern transport yard that conveniently accommodates our trucks, and all repairs and maintenance of trucks are carried out therein. This Division also offers logistics services to outsiders.
