The conference, which held on October 9, 2025, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, regulators, investors and members of the media to examine critical opportunities and risks within Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr Ogah emphasised the urgent need for practical and implementable reforms that translate policy intentions into tangible results for businesses, communities and the wider economy. He called for stronger collaboration between government institutions, regulators and private sector operators, noting that coordinated execution remains essential to unlocking Nigeria’s vast energy potential.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ogah emphasized that achieving energy stability and economic growth requires more than good intentions — it demands consistency, continuity, and courage in execution.
“Nigeria’s energy future is not a choice between opportunity and risk; it is a challenge to navigate both dynamics together,” he stated. “Our greatest task as a nation is to sustain reforms that balance ambition with action, and innovation with stability.”
He highlighted that while landmark policies such as the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA 2021) and Electricity Act (2023) have created new frameworks for progress, their true impact will depend on effective coordination and policy alignment among government agencies, regulators, and industry players.

In his address, our Founder and President highlighted the strategic role of natural gas in supporting power generation, industrialisation and economic growth, while also advocating a balanced and inclusive approach to Nigeria’s energy transition. He further stressed the importance of infrastructure development, regulatory stability and sustained investment in local capacity to ensure long-term sector resilience.
